The Future We Want For Africa.

We live in a dynamic World, things change fast, the technology you are most familiar with is likely to become obsolete tomorrow. Learning to expose ourselves to the wind of change is fundamental as it was rightly stated by Andrew S. Grove the late Intel CEO in his book “Only the Paranoid Survives” that

You need to plan the way a fire department plans: It cannot anticipate where the next fire will be, so it has to shape an energetic and efficient team that is capable of responding to the unanticipated as well as to any ordinary event.

Africa is graced with a young and growing population in today’s aging world, leveraging the power of technology to adapt to change will be paramount for the future of the continent and young people on the continent are on the forefront.

This was evident in helping to limit the effect of Coronavirus on the continent details here. There are still a lot of work to be done but technology and the huge population dividend offers hope of an Africa that will achieve her full potentials.

As a company dedicated to solving Africa’s rising problems with technology we are driven by an overwhelming conviction that the time is right for us to led the way to create the future we deserve because we believe the best way to predict the future is to create it.

We are adopting a gentle but strategic approach by: —

Contributing to Africa’s Digital Economy

Contributing to the Digital Economy.

The truth about the Digital Economy in Africa is that it is one of the overlooked investment opportunities of the past decade with potential for profound impact on development.

According to a report published by Google and International Finance Corp a sister organization to the World Bank projects that depending on the usage intensity of digital technologies by businesses, the Digital Economy has the potential to add $180 billion to Africa’s gross domestic product (GDP) by 2025.

With this in mind, we are committed to developing digital solutions that serves and targets small, medium and micro enterprises since this forms 99% of businesses in Africa and generates 60% of jobs. We are convinced that SMMEs are fundamental and instrumental to development of Africa’s Digital Economy.

Despite the pandemic, the Digital Economy in Africa has shown some resilience during the outbreak as digital connectivity and services have been widely used to support business continuity and consumer needs especially the SMMEs. This trend is expected to continue and we are dedicated to contribute our part to increase the GDP of Africa’s e-Conomy.

The idea behind building for the “Next Billion Users Initiative” is to build innovative and inclusive products for emerging markets like Africa where Africa has the lowest internet penetration rate of 47.1%.

The population of Africa is expected to double by 2050 from her current 1.3 billion and the global share of African urban residents is expected to rise from 11.2% to 20.2% by 2050. Nigeria would overtake the US as the third most populous country in world, after India and China.

With this, we are focused on building innovative products based on users’ needs, preference and the current realities in Africa(unreliable power supply, high cost of data etc) to help empower the next billion user. This innovative and inclusive products will bring more Africans online and also lead to creation of new digital businesses that will help increase the GDP of Africa’s Digital Economy

The future of Africa is in our hands and we are committed to creating a future we all desire with limitless opportunities for her young and growing population.

Cheers to the future 🥂
